Registration Problems/No Response for Emails to Kate Ashley

On October 6, 2009, I purchased LingvoSoft Learning Voice PhraseBook 2009 English <-> Chinese Mandarin Simplified for Windows. I promptly received an email from Kate Ashley that included a registration key file (.rkf). The instructions in the email tells me to store the .rkf file in any folder and the software will ask me for the location of the .rkf file. When I start the software, however, it simply has me select a "register" link and searches my system for the file. It never finds the file and fails to "register" the software.
After reviewing info in this form, on October 7 and 8th, I sent emails to Kate Ashley at katea@lingvosoft.com. I have received no response. I am leaving for China in a few days and would like the software to work. Otherwise, I would like a refund of my money.
I hope "Kate Ahsley" can help.

More info:
I have now tried installing the Phrasebook for SmartPhone. After installation, I carefully followed all instructions and typed the supplied registration key. Again, similar to the experience when trying to use the .rfk file in the Windows XP environment, the supplied registration key for the Smartphone version resulted in an error "The registration key you entered is not valid." I have double checked that all characters (upper case letters and numbers) were entered properly.
Based on a link provided in the readme file, I believe that the product id is: softId=PB-SMPH-ENZHMSM-T-1111
Please help!!!!

I have searched all folders in my mailbox for email relating to LingvoSoft and Ectaco without finding any email from your tech support. At this point, I am giving up and plan to dispute the credit card charge for failure by LingvoSoft and Ectaco to deliver the purchased licenses. I am disappointed.
