Upon my new Jetbook's arrival, we charged it via the USB - the LED light came on for about one hour then went off. It showed full battery the next morning. I used one bar of the battery that day and plugged it into the wall adapter that night - no light came on and it didn't charge at all. I used it until the battery got down to one bar. It would not charge at all on the wall adapter. I plugged it into my USB overnight and it didn't recharge. Once out of several attempts, it did charge it back up to 2 bars and no more via USB. I cannot get it to charge any higher.
The light never appears to do anything when I have it plugged in. I have hit the reset button multiple times over these last several days and it has not helped.
I need to know if this is something I can resolve or if I should send it for a replacement.

I found out on another forum that there is a charging icon that appears on the jetbook screen - I've never seen it on mine. Also, I figured out that my Jetbook WILL charge via USB if and only if it is on during the entire charging process. It will not charge while off.
I think I'm just going to send it back in for a replacement, but if anyone has any advice or if someone from Ectaco has any clue what might be wrong, please let me know.

I just received my new jetbook today, and followed the instructions for charging it. Unfortunately it is not charging and I cannot turn it on.
I guess I will be sending it back.

Dear Customers
In order to turn it on, please, press On/Off button and release it instantly. Please, DO NOT hold on/off button at all.
If the unit still doesn't turn on, please press RESET and then press On/off button and hold it on for 5 seconds.
Please, contact ECTACO Technical support over the phone 1-718-728-6110 or via email pavel@ectaco.com if it doesn't work out.

I received my new JetBook last week and I like it very, very much!
Just one problem:I can't recharge properly. Twice it has got hung
up during charging so that I had to do a complete reset at the back.
And it has never once recharged fully. The mark always stops at the two
thirds position, which was the way I received it in. I read in intervalls
during the day for about 6 hours in total and at the end of the first days
I received a message that voltage is low, yesterday the same message
even after only one hour.
I checked the firmware, iI believe it is the newest version: v0.33c v13.
Is there anything else that be can done besides resetting?
Many thanks for your help!
