I just received a jetBook as a gift from my parents. It's great for homeschooling - there are so many free texts out there for us to use. However, I am about to pull my hair out over formatting. Many of the pdfs I already had have font that is too little to see on such a tiny screen. It's great that I can change the font size for easier reading, but if I'm constant scrolling from side to side (even in landscape mode) it really does me no good.
Feedbooks.com and manybooks.net offer a choice of formats - is pdf the only format the jetBook is compatible with? Is there a format that will give the beautiful free-flow format of the books already loaded on it?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

What you want is text.
Text is free flowing. PDF is not.
Most documents can be converted to text, you may need to do this using a 3rd party tool.
Personally as I do convert my documents to text, I find this acceptable.

I have many Computer programming books that I can not convert into text because it looses all the formatting and with programming examples, this is important. I use a freeware program called PDFill (You can go to tucows.com and search for PDF tools). Use the PDFill Tools utility and use the crop command. It will take a few times to get it, but by trimming the white space on each side of the page, when you load it into Jetbook the font size will be bigger. I also read the jetbook in landscape mode.
There are some books that are still hard to read after I have cropped them. I purchased a pair of magnifying clip-ons for my glasses and that enables me to read the books.
The Jetbook is FAR from perfect but it enables me to carry a number of computer books with me.

You can convert your PDFs to text, but I've found that the translation can be wonky at times.
I suggest trying to get only in the text style. Most of the older books out there are in that format, so you shouldn't have problems finding things.
I hear good things about the FB2 formatting, but since I can't seem to get my Jetbook to install the upgrade, I can't testify to its readability. I have seen in on a computer and its a much cleaner format. If you can get the upgrade to work, I suggest using that format.
