stop annoying advertisements - talking dictionary 2007

I use talking dictionary 2007 for windows mobile ppc, product id LD-PKPC-ENDE-T-4078, version 4.0.78.
Frequently, when starting the program, the internet explorer opens and loads an advertisement page for 'new lingvosoft products'.
Guys, I'm a valued customer. I have payed for the program and registered it along with my details and the serial number.
So I cannot accept the situation that the program runs internet explorer to show advertisements without asking!!!
Where is the switch to turn off your ads-function?

Oh yes, there are many of them. Just have a look at the windows folder. Your app has a time and date checker;on a frequent basis the ads pop up.
file://\Windows\ld_back2school.htm
You have never heard of this? Interesting.
However, I stipulate to have the app stopping this.

Same here, with 2008 dictionaries (Fre-Pol, Ger-Pol, Eng-Pol, ver 4.1.88, registered). When started, it often (not always, as if it kept some time stamp) opens IE with a page addressed as "file://\Windows\ld_period.htm", showing Lingvosoft header and then text starting with "The list of related software for your Dictionary has been updated!" and then a link to http://www.lingvosoft.com/dictionary-related-software/. And you say you do not know anything about it? Really strange.
Hardware: iPAQ h5550, PocketPC 2003

Hi Michael,
We never heard from our users about this kind of problem. I'm also using our 2008 dictionary on my desktop but do not get any ads while working. Though I have IE permanently opened. When I exit the program and then start it again I also do not get any ad page opened. I would recommend you uninstall the app and reinstall it again.

I have just done a fresh install of LS 2008 talking dictionary Eng-Pol on my new device, HTC Touch HD, Windows Mobile 6.1. On some Nth (N was maybe 5) invoking of the application, I got Opera (default browser) opened on
file://\Windows\ld_valentine.htm
Closed, reopened the dictionary, nothing. It will probably open another ad at another Nth invoking. There are following files in \Windows directory which seem "strange":

How to stop the advertisements:
Set the ppc system date to 12/24/2036 or any other christmas far ahead in the future.
Start and exit each talking dictionary on your ppc. The advertisement will appear one last time.
Set the ppc system date back to the actual date.
Delete ld_back2school*, ld_christmas*, ld_period* and ld_valentine* if you wish.
